2. Baking cheesecakes from scratch. My best creation so far is a chocolate mint one, with dark sweet cherry (affectionately known as Kari's Favorite) running a close second. My next project is creating a good recipe for a coconut cream cheesecake. Wanna be a taste tester?

God-Shaped Hole, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Divide, Empire Falls, anything by Jane Austen, any Kay Scarpetta novel by Patricia Cornwell, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Kite Runner, Teacher Man, Angela's Ashes, Lolita, The Poisonwood Bible, anything by Robert Ludlum (I haven't even tried to see the movies), Blackhawk Down (there is no superlative to explain how much better the book is than the movie), Anna Karenina, most biographies of Amelia Earhart, The Gypsy Storyteller, The Smoke Jumper, Midwives...
I love reading first novels.
I try to have a biography going, but I haven't read one in several months.
