Sleeping Problem
Posted On 06/08/2008 09:51:59 by tracy3645

Can anyone help?  My twenty two month old girl is having difficulty at nap time and bed time.  She screams as soon as we close the door.  She is ok until that moment.  It's like she is scared to go to sleep.  She usually does so well.  She is also adjusting to a new toddler bed so now she can get up out of her bed and scream at the door.  This sleeping problem starting happening before the new toddler bed.  Has anyone experienced a similar problem?  If so, any advice?  Thank you!

Slowly but surely.  She is crying for only a few minutes now.  Thank you so much for your support!

Thank you for the response.  We do have the same routine.  It just seems that she is terrified to fall asleep on her own.  I thought it was her molars but now I am not so sure.  We'll try "crying it out" again tonight.  Thank you sooooo much!

Hi, there my little one is 13 months and we go through a similar process at night. She does not want to go to sleep, I think she feels as thought she will be missing out on something. So everynight we have the same rutine bath, stories, and then it is time for bed. We put her in the crib and she cries for about 15 minutes and then we go back and tell her its ok and then start over. I know how frustrating it is my little ones doctor said that we will just have to let her cry it out a few nights and then she will understand this is the way that it is. Let me know if you find something that works
