Every so often when I am going to bed at night, I look over at my peaceful sleeping husband and I think to myself how much I love him and how grateful I am to have my family. I think about how much life has changed since having the kids. I am think it is so funny how we are dying to go to bed at 8:30 and can have actually conversations about sippy cups and poop. I have loved every second of my children and parenthood and would not change it for the world. I remember when we were first married and I was so concerned about what cute nightgown I was going to wear to bed and always made sure my legs were shaved, oh how times have changed. Now I really lucky if i get a shower once a day and in bed a have a baby hanging on my boob and not some cute bra. I know my husband loves how things are now. I just think it is so amazing how much changes once you have kids, I would like to know what you guys think. Are things different for you girls?

OMG! I was just thinking this yesterday! I took my niece, who was in town, shopping and thought to myself...I better make an effort again to look cute for bedtime. Boy, do things change after you have a baby. I hate getting ready when I know I might be home all day. It's so much easier to wear workout clothes and not put any makeup on. And I haven't had my hair done since Dec!!!! Three years ago I was buying new outfits to go out in and having my hair and toes done every couple weeks!!! I have to make time for me again!

I feel the same way sisters! Just when you thought you had everything in order our sweet little ones have joined our family. Just over a year ago I would hang out with my friends from work. Even though I am a few years older than them it didn't make much of a difference. I was just the momma bird of the group. Now with Kai we are a world apart. They are always inviting me out but what they just don't understand is that I would rather hang out with my baby then with babes. Ha Ha. Enjoy these times because they don't last long I suppose.

I agree totally! It IS different but in a GOOD way. No more wondering what bar we were going to after dinner on a Saturday night. The time we go to bed now is the time we'd be heading out to the bars. But I wouldn't change being a Mom for the world. It has its ups and downs and bad and good days but it's all worth it in the end! Some of the greatest moments in my life I have had with my kids. They are truely worth it!

I never slack when it comes to wearing something sexy to bed-never have ;) ...but the whole "shaving every night"- out the window...lol. yes, things change, but the things that change make you closer, more in love and comfortable. it is all good changes :)
