I was surfing thru the forums and discovered there were no posting in the single moms category so I decided to take the initiative to compose something...
I am a single mom. It's not so bad, really. I try to put our situation into perspective and be thankful for our blessings. My son and i are happy and healthy and that is what is important. Sometimes I find myself looking into my babys big blue eyes and thinking how his father is really missing out! REALLY! But it wont do my son a bit of good to feel sorry for him or myself so I stay optomistic and strong and life goes on...

I understand. I was a single mom for 5 years. I really loved the time my son and I had to ourselves. We had such a blast hanging out together and we never felt sorry for ourselves because we were happy and healthy. I knew in my heart that my prince charming was out there somewhere and we would meet at the right time. It is not always easy being a single mom but you are doing an amazing job. You and your son will always have a great relationship and be so close because of this time you share now. I have since gotten married and had 3 more kids. My son is loved my his step-father and we have put alot of hard work and prayer into blending our family. Just remember to cherish every second and know that the two of you will always share an amazing bond !

I was a single mom for about a year. Sometimes I miss it. Life was much more simple. To the kids, (I was a daughter of a single mom), it is a way of life, and they do not know they are missing anything. Keep that in mind.
